01Day One: Arrival Kathmandu
Airport pick up and transfer to Hotel. There will be a welcome dinner with your guide. First taste of the wonderful local food.
02Day Two: Kathmandu
Exploring day in the city. You will be able to explore the city as well as make the last preparation for the trek. We will provide you with all information you need to explore the most emblematic places in Kathmandu. If you wish to have a Guided City Tour, do not hesitate to request this service when booking with us.
03Day Three: Fly from Kathmandu (1400m) to Lukla (2840m) and walk to Benkhar (2800m) / Time: 5 to 6 hours
We will wake up very early (around 04:30am) to be at the airport first thing in the morning and take the domestic flight to Lukla (2800m), where the trek starts. Be prepared for a true adventure flying with a small aircraft with astonishing views of the Himalayas on the left of the aircraft, and the infinite hills covered by rice field terraces on the left. Once we land we start trekking. We will stop to recharge batteries and have some food in Phakding. Our last destination will be Benkhar, one of the last villages before entering the Sagarmatha National Park. On our arrival to Benkhar, we will be able to explore the area and have our first Sherpa dinner. This time we sleep in a high altitude mountain lodge! The adventure has just started...
04Day Four: Benkhar to Namche Bazar (3440m) / Time: 4 to 5 hours
During this journey we will be able to have the first views of Mount Everest just before arriving to Namche Bazar. This will be a short day trek, around 3 to 4 hours. The last 2 hours we will face a steep terrain after crossing one of the highest suspension bridge of the region to arrive to Namche Bazar. We will have time to walk around the village, taste delicious sweet caprices at the German Bakery, enjoy the paintings and the handicraft around the village or play pool at the bar!
05Day Five: Namche Bazar acclimatization day. Khumjung (3780m) / Time: 4 to 5 hours.
We will spend the day doing some treks and activities to explore the area and get immersed in the culture. A variety of options are available. Some of our favourite ones; trek to Everest View Hotel, astonishing trek with the best views of the range of Everest: Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest, Annapurna… Visit Khumjung, just at the bottom of Mount Khumbila (the sacred mountain). We see the Edmund Hillary Foundation school and come back through Yak farms. On our arrival back to Namche Bazar, we can enjoy a good movie or documentary at the coffee shop.
06Day Six: Namche Bazar to Phortse (3810m) / Time: 6 to 7 hours
After a nice flattish walk through a wide path for about an hour, we will ascend to Mongla, from which we will have outstanding views of the valley. After our lunch we prepare for the descend to the Dudh river to then cross it and ascend again for 30 minutes to Phortse village. Phortse is situated on top of a flat hill supervising the south part of the National Park. Privileged views will leave us speeachless. Phortse is home of the Climbing School where all Sherpas and Nepali guides prepare and train to get licenced to be alpine guides and work on peaks like Everest or Island Peak!
07Day Seven: Phortse to Upper Pangboche (3930m) / Time: 4 to 5 hours
Exiting Phortse will provide us amazing scenery of Tengboche views at the other side of the Imja river on our right, and Ama Dablam will show spectacular most of the day in front of us. The trail is narrow our walk will arrive to Upper Pangboche, where we can visit the oldest Monastery in the region.
08Day Eight: Upper Pangboche to Dingboche (4410m) / Time: 5 to 6 hours
A wonderful trek day through the valley. We will be surrounded by the giants of the Himalayas. Everest will feel closer every time. And the splendorous views of Ama Dablam have no description; a must see.
09Day Nine: Dingboche acclimatization day. Nangkar Tshang (5616m) / Time: 5 to 6 hours
We will stay for an acclimatization day. During the day we will hike up to Nangkar Tshang peak and be overwhelmed by the astonishing panorama with views of Island Peak. We will start feeling the altitude in every step, slow steps and drinking many litters of water is the key for the success!
010Day Ten: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m) / Time: 6 to 7 hours
A journey where we will approach the Khumbu glacier. On our way to Lobuche we will go through a piece of land used as a memorial for the ones who lost their lives climbing the Everest summit. A sacred place where one must walk with respect. An intense experience where lots of questions will arise on us... Depending on the arrival time to Lobuche, we may have an opportunity to visit the Italian Camp in the afternoon (the highest Laboratory/observatory high altitude scientific research centre, 5050m, where data is collected for the purpose of the study of environment, climate, human physiology and geology).
011Day Eleven: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140m) and Everest Base Camp (5364m) / Time: 8 hours
If the conditions are good, we will visit Everest Base Camp in the afternoon (leaving the bag packs in Gorak Sherp lodge). Very special visit in which we are able to see where the expeditions prepare themselves to ascend the summit of the highest mountain in the world above the sea level.
012Day Twelve: Kala Pathar (5550m) and down to Pheriche (4240m) / Time: 6 to 7 hours
For the most astonishing views, we ascend Kala Pathar peak (5540m) in the morning without bag packs. And start our descent to Pheriche.
013Day Thirteen: Pheriche to Chhukhung (4730m) / Time: 4 to 5 hours
We start our way towards Island Peak. Our stop, Chhukhung village, where our preparation to Island Peal ascend will begin.
014Day Fourteen:Chhukhung to Island Peak Base Camp (5080m) / Time: 4 to 5 hours
Today we arrive at the Island Peak Base Camp, where we will have a special camp with tents prepared by our staff and a special cooking service.
015Day Fifteen: Island Peak Summit day and back to Chhuckhung / Time: 9 to 10 hours
We will wake up in the morning before sun rises to start ascending with the torch. It is a challenging day full of rewards. After the summit we will descend back to Chhukhung.
016Day Sixteen: Chhukhung to Lower Pangboche / Time: 5 to 6 hours
A nice and easy path will lead us to Pangboche, where we will rest and prepare for our trek day to Ama Dablam Base Camp.
017Day Seventeen: Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek day / Time: 7 to 8 hours
The trek is a truly magic experience. The path starts descending to the river to then climb up a hill for the first 2 hours. The path starts leading us into the foot of Ama Dablam Peak, and we find ourselves surrounded by astonishing mountains, large waterfalls and huge cliffs. A marvelous journey that we will be fortunate not to have missed.
018Day Eighteen: Pangboche to Namche Bazar via Tengboche / Time: 6 to 7 hours
Today we hike back to Namche but we take another path than before to go visit Tengboche Monastery, one of the highest buddhist monesteries in the world and the largest in the Solukhumbu area.
019Day Nineteen: Namche Bazar to Lukla / Time: 6 to 7 hours
Back to Lukla to take our flight.
020Day Twenty: Lukla to Kathmandu
We get the morning flight back to Kathmandu. We will be able to have our last farewell to Everest region by enjoying the spectacular Himalaya range from the plane. After landing, we drop you off at your hotel, and you will be able to rest and enjoy the city.
021Day Twenty one: Kathmandu day
Last day to explore the city of Kathmandu or visit the surroundings (Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Dhulikel and Namo Buddha...) and find special artisan crafts to take home as a memory of a Country that Inspired You.
022Day Twenty two: Transfer to the international Airport and end of our services unless arranged differently
