The Best Trekkings of Annapurna

The central hills of Nepal are dominated by the Annapurna Region. The Annapurna Conservation Area is the protected area with the greatest geographical and cultural diversity. This region gives you unparalleled access to the best trekking in Annapurna to see spectacular horizons of the snowy peaks with a fascinating insight into the life of the Nepalese of the middle hill and its wide culture. There are many ethnic groups that live and work in the region, from Hindu farmers to Tibetan Lamas. The most prominent ethnic groups in the Annapurna region are the Gurung, the Thakali and the Manangba. Due to the variety of elevations, the region contains a remarkable diversity of flora; from the subtropical low forests of oaks, bamboo and rhododendrons in the south to the high alpine meadows, and the windswept desert plateaus in the north, bordering Tibet.

The most popular hiking trails in Nepal are in Annapurna. Any walk in this region is an experience to remember. The Poon Hill will also allow us to witness slopes, charming villages, beautiful rice fields, and the wonderful culture and lifestyle of the villagers. Ghorepani and Ghandruk are two of the largest Gurung settlements in the Annapurna region. We can live a unique and unequalled pleasure of trekking in the foothills of the Annapurna together with the charming settlements of the ethnic communities of Nepal.

-THE SECRET POON HILL

The Poon Hill trek, at 3,210 meters above sea level, northwest of Pokhara, is the most famous viewpoint in western Nepal. If you are looking for a short and relatively easy hike, the Poon Hill trail is a very good option. This trek takes you through an impressive landscape that shows stellar views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. Contemplating the sunrise from the top of Poon Hill is a profound and unique experience in which one of the wonders of the universe can hypnotize anyone.

Our Trekking Poon Hill is one of the most popular treks that meanders through the beautiful ethnic villages of the Annapurna region. Trekking Poon Hill in Nepal is an exhilarating trekking through rhododendron forests, that will allow us to feel the Himalayas while offering us the opportunity to get closer to the local culture. It is also popularly known as the Photographer’s Paradise as you can capture some of the best snapshots of the impressive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Poon Hill offers us the breathtaking panorama of the great Himalayas including Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, III and IV, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna and the Manaslu mountain ranges among others.

-NAR PHU VALLEY

The Naar-Phu Valley is a Tibetan valley hidden just north of the Annapurna circuit that was opened to visitors in 2003. The entrance is from Koto, near Chame. The walk through the Nar Phu Valley is a true wild experience in the Himalayas that is as unforgettable as it is spectacular. Nestled between the most visited regions of Annapurna and Manaslu, Nar Phu is a true hidden gem that offers walkers a unique opportunity to explore unspoiled valleys that offer a mix of raw Himalayan nature and ancient Buddhist culture.

This spectacular trekking in the Nar Phu Valley combines high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow canyons, enchanting forests, incredible rock formations, yaks, gompas (Tibetan origin buddhist monasteries) and unique ethnic Tibetan cultures. Very few outsiders have explored these virtually intact villages or climbed the many 7000 meter peaks that surround them.

-ANNAPURNA MAGIC CIRCUIT

After Everest, one of the most popular hikes in Nepal is the trekking Annapurna circuit, which includes a circumnavigation of 100 miles of the Annapurna mountain range. From jungles, high mountains and ethnic villages, the Annapurna circuit is a great trail to chose.

Considered by many as one of the best trekking and the first of the 10 best trekking in the world. It offers a fascinating insight into the life of Nepalese ethnic groups of the high altitude mountains; from Hindu farmers to Tibetan Lamas, incredible views of the most famous high peaks of the Himalayas, crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, hot springs, constantly changing panoramas, lush rice fields and rhododendron forests. The Annapurna Circuit is not only the most famous trek in Nepal, but also one of the most famous treks in the world. If you are looking for diversity in both the landscape and the people, the Annapurna Circuit is one of the best options.

-GHANDRUK CIRCUIT

This trekking in Ghandruk is short. It can be considered a good introduction to trekking and offers wonderful views of the sacred mountain Macchapuchre (fish tail) and the Annapurna South. Our destination is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home of the Annapurna conservation area project. Here you have the opportunity to discover first-hand the conservation work that is being carried out. A refreshing four day trip that will allow you discover life in the mountains. The memorable beauty of the town of Ghandruk will captivate you through all your senses. For a short walk with few altitude problems, the Annapurna region offers unparalleled access to the spectacular horizons of the snowy peaks. A trip to the Base Camp combines some of the most fantastic mountain scenery with a fascinating insight into the rural life of the half-hill Nepalese. The path takes us through an ever-changing landscape of paddy fields, rododendro forests and lowland villages up to the glacier. It offers an excellent opportunity to surround yourself with the peaks of the Himalayas especially witnessing the glacier basin of the Annapurna sanctuary formed by Annapurna, Machhapurchre (Fishtail), Himchuli and Manaslu.

TREKKING ANNAPURNA 10 DAYS

-ECO DHAULAGIRI

The Ecotourism approach in this region offers a sense of humanity and respect that will bring us a new perspective, similar to our Khopra trekking.

The Dhaulagiri trekking is one of the many new project areas managed by the Nepalese community, where the benefits of tourism reach the whole community instead of individuals. The trip offers community mountain homes and stays in family homes.

The views from Mohare Hill, the highest point of the trek (3310m), are simply stunning. From this point of view, we contemplate spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the Annapurna mountain range. Privileged views of two of the highest mountains in the world: Annapurna I (8091m), Dhaulaguiri (8172m), and also numerous other snowy peaks such as Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal.

A fantastic trip to immerse yourself in the Magar community and the Hindu culture. As we approach the land of the Annapurnas, the path will cross the wonderful forest of rhododendrons (the national flower of Nepal) and the cultivated terraces. Experiences that will test the limits of your camera lenses.

SHORT TREKKING ANNAPURNA

-KHOPRA SURPRISE

There is no doubt that Kopra Ridge is one of the best short walks in Nepal. This trekking contains all the elements of a classic trekking experience in Nepal, including villages, wildlife, panoramic views of the mountains and different landscapes from the forest to the high mountains.

Kopra Ridge is located far from the busiest trails in the Annapurna region of Nepal and for some nights the itinerary is hosted in community lodges set up by local villagers where the profits are shared within the whole community. The views of the mountains from Kopra Ridge are magnificent and include Mount Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fang and Nilgiri and also from Ghandruk you can see Mount Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) and Mount Himchuli.

The Khopra trek is a very uncrowded hiking trail in the Annapurna region, which is why we call it Kopra Surprise.

ANNAPURNA MINI TREKKING

-ANNAPURNA SHORT CIRCUIT
