Welcome to The Great Langtang Trek in celebration of the 5th Aniversary of the Earthquake that shook Nepal, especially the Langtang region, on the 25th of April 2015. Especially designed by The Team and our specialist in Langtang region Pol Ferrús.
An inspirational trip that will take your breath away. Langtang National Park is one of our favorite regions. Away from crowded areas, we get immersed in the heart of the Himalaya. We will participate in the culture, tradition and local life in a very authentic way.
Covering approximately 1710 square meters, Langtang National Park was officially gazetted in 1976. Situated in the central Himalayan region of Nepal, with its southern border lying about 30 kilometers north of Kathmandu. It contains the greatest range of vegetation as it’s area encompasses both subtropical and alpine zones. Altogether some 1000 plant species, 160 bird species, 30 mammal species have been identified in the National Park.
The Gosaikunda sacred lake (4380m), is one of Nepal’s most famous places of pilgrimage for Hindu culture. It is surrounded by nine other lakes on the east and west of the lake (Kunda).
This area was greatly affected after the Earthquake that shook Nepal on the 25th of April 2015. There is history in every step, a story behind each look and each rock that we leave behind. So many emotions will awake our hearts and open our souls to a new perspective of life.
We can’t wait to show you what the Langtang National Park has to offer. It will start in Syapru Besi and soon we will find ourselves surrounded by the exuberant deep forests where bamboo and Rhododendron (the national flower of Nepal) grow. We will find the Langur monkey along the way, and we will see the popular bee hives hanging on the steep rocks from where the expert honey hunters climb with handmade ropes and ladders to collect the most delicious honey in Nepal. Our Tour “Searching for the Red Panda”, totally exclusive for this trek, is a lifetime experience.
In addition of living a great cultural experience, we can see the majestic peaks of the Himalaya of Langtang (Langtang Lirung 7227m, Langtang II, Urking Kangari, Baden Powell Scout Peak, Naya Kanga, Pico Yala …). And we will ascend to some of them like Kyanjin Ri (4773m) or Tserko Ri (4984m). We will explore the Langtang Lirung Base Camp Glacier or we will go to visit Langshisha Karka at the end of the valley surrounded by numerous snowcapped mountains.

Pol is our Tour Leader in Langtang region. He has a great experience as a mountain guide and is a rock climbing professional. Pol speaks fluently five languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, Italian and Nepali.
He is our specialist in the Langtang National Park. He knows every villager, every legend, every corner of the valley, and all the possible activities that the area has to offer.
Pol also lived the earthquake on the 25th of April 2015. In that moment he was in Ringmu, Langtnag, fighting for his life between two big landslides.
He spent 2 weeks with no external communication with the few survivals that were left in the area. Sleeping outdoors, sharing, helping and rescuing what was left alive.
After this intense experience, Pol has dedicated his life to reconstruct and reactivate the life in Langtang. He founded an NGO (LivingNEPAL) and since then, Nepal has become his second home. Together with other rock climbers, he oppened routes of sport climbing in Thulo Syabru, where this trek itinerary will pass.
During this trek that Pol leads, you will see the passion, love and deep friendship that he has for all the villagers. In addition, Pol has discovered many remote itineraries in the area, and with this trek, we take you to the most spectacular places that very few people know.
