Dhaulagiri Eco Trek

Annapurna Conservation Area

  • Special views of Annapurna Range from Mohare Hill and Danda Kharka.
  • We are contributing to a wonderful community project where the money spent in the villages is shared with all the community.
  • Immersion to the rural lifestyle in communities that are outstandingly preserved over the centuries.
  • Wonderful short trek where we get a taste of Nepal panorama: the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu; the second largest city in Nepal, Pokhara and the heart of the rural world at the bottom of the Himalayas.
  • We take a comfortable 25 minutes flight to Pokhara and back to Kathmandu. Avoiding a long drive by bus that takes all day on the road. Therefore, we have plenty of time to enjoy both cities and in addition the flight has outstanding views of the Himalaya range (Manaslu and Annapurna regions) all the way!
  • Easy to moderate this Nepal Trek for a large variety of fitness levels.

Also known as the Parbat Myagdi Ecotourism Trek, this is one of the several new community-managed projects areas of Nepal where the benefits from tourism reach the whole community instead of individuals. The trek offers community lodges and home stays.

The views from Mohare Hill, the highest point of the trek (3310m), are simply breathtaking. From this viewpoint gaze at spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Views of 2 of the highest mountains in the world: Annapurna I (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8172m), and also other numerous snowcapped mountain peaks such as Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal.

A fantastic trek to get immersed in the Magar community and Hindu culture. As you approach the land of the Annapurnas your path will cross wonderful Rhododendron forest (the national flower of Nepal) and terraced fields. Experiences that will test the limits of your camera lenses. The Eco-Tourism approach in this region offers a sense of humanity and respect that will bring us a fresh perspective.
